Bluegrass Festival in Newton Falls

1745

General Assembly Church of God at Newton Falls, OH announces its 6th Annual Bluegrass Music Festival. Bands which are currently scheduled to perform are Vertical Limit, Limited Edition and Joe Click & Family. Well-known local bluegrass personality, Charlie Lape has volunteered his time to emcee the event. The Festival will be held at the Newton Falls Community Center located at 52 East Quarry Street on Saturday, September 21 beginning at 2 pm. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase.

All bands and everyone working for the festival have donated their time, and all proceeds from the festival will go toward the church’s youth group program. In addition to using the funds for activities for the youth, the youth group have also used much of the money they raised last year to help the community. Joe and Carla Click and Simon and Becky Blankenship, Youth Group Leaders, would like to note that the youth group has been able to assist the local needs of our community including local nursing homes, Salvation Army angel trees, Warren family mission, and various donations to families and nonprofit organizations in need through the hard work and generosity of the youth group’s supporters such as yourselves. They would like to express their thanks to all who supported the festival over the last four years and let them know where part of their donations were spent, and ask that they come out to the festival again this year, and support both the youth and the community.

Admission will be on a donation basis at the entrance, but a recommendation of at least $5.00 per adult is suggested, with youth admitted free. Handicap parking will be available.

For further information, or if you wish to help, or donate to the festival in any way, call Joe Click at (330) 979-4882 or Carla Click at (330) 240-5541
