The Portage County District Library announces a generous donation from the Friends of the Garrettsville Library. This monetary donation has been made to support the assembly of senior memory kits made by the Outreach Services department. “With the series of fundraisers that have been so well supported, the Friends of the Garrettsville Library is able to support a variety of important and interesting projects throughout the community”, says Betsy Siman, President of the Friends of the Garrettsville Library.

Portage County District Library has announced that it will now offer over 100 digital editions of all your favorite magazines. Available for check out with a Portage County District Library card in good standing, this new service provides all the exact same content as print magazines and more. Titles available include US Weekly, Newsweek, Consumer Reports, Martha Stewart Living, and Family Circle. Delivered by Zinio, the world’s largest newsstand and bookstore, these digital editions will provide you with an interactive experience, as you will be able to access more than just the traditional magazine. Zinio transforms your favorite magazines into digital format. Enjoy exclusive features such as access links within print articles, watch videos to offer more detail, or enter live links for immediate content. Available formats include iPad, iPhone, Android, Kindle Fire, Mac, and PC.
