The Geauga County Master Gardeners present their favorite event of the year, their 4th Annual Scholarship Benefit.  The Garden Tour, Plant & Art Sale is Wednesday, June 20th, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Auburn/Bainbridge area.  Tickets, ($15 cash or check) and maps for the tour are available the day of the tour at Adam Hall Community Center, 11455 E. Washington Street, Auburn Township.  Tickets include a chance to  win garden center gift certificates.  This is your opportunity to freely peek behind houses, around shrub borders, over fences and down long private driveways to view some of the most vibrant, captivating and unique gardens in the county, large and small.

Activities will run concurrently at Adam Hall the day of the tour with refreshments, a plant sale, tool sharpening, garden art and attic treasures.   The Plant Sale has over 800 offerings including perennials, veggies, herbs, trees, shrubs, houseplants and tropicals; everything from Coreopsis to Brugmansia.  The plants have been donated by Master Gardeners or friends of Master Gardeners.  All plants are identified, have growing requirements and are reasonably priced. Also located at Adam Hall will be Garden Art and Attic Treasures, such as hypertufa pieces, wearable art, fairy gardens, unique art pieces and planters.  New this year will be a gentleman who sharpens garden tools and household equipment on a repurposed 1923 sewing machine without electricity.  The prices are very reasonable beginning at $5.00, cash or check.  Feel free to bring your scissors or shovels for sharpening.

Proceeds of the day benefit the Master Gardener Scholarship Fund.  Out of respect to the homeowners, no pets or children, please.  Call 440-834-4656 for more information.
