Marching Pride is Disney Bound

Garrettsville – While most folks are wondering whether this eternal winter will ever end, 70- plus Marching Pride members, along with 10 chaperones and two band directors will get an early taste of summer as they travel to Walt Disney World over spring break.

On Saturday, March 22, 2014 The Marching Pride, along with their directors and chaperones will board buses, with their instruments, uniforms, equipment and luggage as they take the 18 hour road trip to Orlando, Florida.
Tentatively, The Marching Pride is scheduled to perform Tuesday, March 25th in the Disney Parade at the Magic Kingdom. While in Florida, the students will also get to visit Blizzard Beach, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios and attend a music workshop. The band will spend four days in the Sunshine State, while taking in as much as they possibly can to enjoy the trip of a life time.

Students and chaperones going on the trip were responsible for covering their own cost for the trip which was divided into monthly payments to make it easier for the family budget. Band students were also given an opportunity to earn all or a portion of their trip expenses by participating in selling raffle tickets last fall. The trip was organized by the directors and the band boosters.
