Newton Falls – If you owe fines for overdue materials, or if you’re just feeling generous, you can donate nonperishable items to the Newton Falls Public Library Food for Fines Drive. In exchange for the food, we will forgive overdue fines. The drive will run from March 3 to March 29.
To clear your fines, you must donate your items to the staff at the circulation desk. Only nonperishable items will be accepted. The following will not be accepted: glass containers; opened, dented, or expired items; alcoholic beverages; and candy. Donations cannot be put toward bills for lost and/or damaged library materials.
All items brought in for the Food for Fines Drive will be donated to food banks in our local community. For more details about the Food for Fines Drive and its requirements and restrictions, contact the Newton Falls Public Library. Take advantage of this program, and discover again the wide selection of books, media, and other items available for borrowing!
