Anna Maria of Aurora Breaks Ground

Published on September 29, 2012

Aurora – Anna Maria of Aurora has a new site at the old Geauga Lake hotel. The new site, called The Atrium at Anna Maria, will not replace the current facility, which has been in operation for nearly fifty years, but rather will supplement its functions. The Atrium will be an assisted and independent living facility, and it will have a wide range of programs and amenities for its residents, including a pool, walking trails, a spa, a salon and a library, amongst other comforts. In addition to the living sites, The Atrium will also have a wing designated for memory care.
According to Diane Barben, Anna Maria of Aurora’s Director of Marketing, the groundbreaking for construction was held Thursday, September 27th. The construction of this new site is a $9 million dollar project, and it is slated for completion in fall of 2013. The renovation, according to Anna Maria’s flier on the project, has the potential to create fifty new jobs within the City of Aurora.
