Truck Day at Aurora Farms

Aurora – Aurora Farms Premium Outlets teamed up with the City of Aurora to hold Truck Day Saturday, August 4th. From 10-2, families strolled around Aurora Farms, with the children weaving between and climbing on trucks of all sorts. Some even mischievously tugged the air horn cables to unleash a blast that caused the passersby to jump.

“Truck Day is something the city started at Aurora High School but then they later partnered with Aurora Farms,” Aurora Fire Department Captain Brad Davis said. “This is the tenth year. I’ve been here for each one of them!” A fun event for kids of all ages, even the grown-up ones, Truck Day combined shopping and sales with heavy-duty tires and sirens.

Colleen Martin, Community Events Coordinator for the City of Aurora Parks and Recreation department, said they had 20 trucks and vehicles from Aurora’s Service and Parks and Recreation Department, Aurora Safety Forces, and Aurora City School District, among others. In addition to the trucks, there were balloon clowns, a magician, live music by House of Rhythm, and sidewalk sales.
